As a boy growing up in rural Tennessee, I learned from my bi-vocational grandfather that all ministry matters. From that small congregation serving a farming community to the megachurch sprawling in the suburbs, each local expression of Christ's body is beautiful and empowered to make an impact for His Kingdom.
I've spent the past twenty years serving the church. My ministry has ranged from student ministries in large urban churches to senior pastorates in small towns, but the goal has always been the same: serve God by serving His church.
God has invested in my ministry by giving me opportunities to serve some great churches. I currently serve Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Illinois as Senior Pastor.
Stefanie and I were married in 2001, and have three children. We're also foster parents, and praying about adoption.
